MBE Profile: Jose Maria, ZeyCo Construction LLC

Jose Maria is the founder of Zeyco Construction LLC, a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) operating in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2020 and quickly built a strong foundation in construction by working with some of the largest concrete contractors in the Northeast. His early experience included involvement in high-profile cast-in-place concrete projects such as high-rise buildings, schools, and airport infrastructure throughout the Boston area.

Following this, Jose joined a general contracting firm in Quincy, MA, where he served as a project manager. There, he successfully led the construction of a $100 million senior living facility in Newton, MA—an achievement that underscored his ability to manage large-scale, complex projects.

Jose founded Zeyco Construction in 2021, and while the company began operations in 2024, it has quickly earned a reputation for quality and reliability. Zeyco specializes in general contracting services and self-performs all earthwork, concrete, and carpentry. Under Jose’s leadership, the company has completed several significant projects, including ADA ramp replacements for the City of Pawtucket, structural concrete repairs at the University of Rhode Island’s Steam Plant, and exterior renovations to Rhode Island College’s Building #30.

Zeyco currently serves Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and parts of Connecticut and New Hampshire.
