STYLEWEEK Northeast fashion show founder Rosanna M. Ortiz said that she feels a sense of community by being certified as a Women Business Enterprise through the state’s Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

In addition to running the well-known Rhode Island-based fashion week, Ortiz is president of RMO PR/Project Resources, a Providence-based business.

Since 2016, RMO PR has offered public relations services specializing in brand development and management, messaging and strategy, digital marketing, and social media strategy. Project Resources real estate arm handles multi-family project development, HVAC, and fire protection.

“Being certified as a WBE with DEDI has been very welcoming,” said Ortiz. “I have not had one challenge with the process of being certified. The office and its resources really helped my business by connecting me to industry professionals and employment opportunities.”
